Gail & De
Our family is proud to be your trusted locksmith in Ogden, Utah – serving Davis County, Weber County and surrounding areas.
De and Gail opened their first store in April of 1985. As the business evolved, our store changed locations a few times, but it has always been on Washington Boulevard.
We are a family owned and operated lock shop. The whole family can be seen at the store sometimes – including the grandchildren!
Our Story
De discovered his love for locksmithing while working for his father-in-law, Herman Cevering, at A-1 Key Service. De eventually decided to open his own store with the help of his wife, Gail. Gail thought she would just help him get it started then go back to doing hair. After 42 years, she is still helping him run the business.

Daren, De & Nate
We all work together to serve our customers in their various needs. We stay up to date on the latest technology with annual training. However, each team member has his or her specialties.
Gail is President and is often the first-person customers see.
Madalyn is our office manager and has been working in the store along side her parents from the day it opened. Madalyn has been a full time Locksmith since 1997. She and her husband Nate help to manage everything at the store.
Nate is our amazing automotive tech. He is a Registered Locksmith (RL) and underwent multiple tests to achieve that title.
De In 2026 we had to make the hard choice to hang up his uniform and retire. You can often find him at the store in the back just resting. During his time as a full time locksmith he accomplished the title of Certified Master Locksmith (CML) . He was also the only GSA approved Government approved locksmiths in Utah for many years .
Devin is the son of Nate and Madalyn and started working in the store in 2023. He is training to be our Residential Specialist and a secondary Automotive Specialist.
Daren when in office enjoys working on antique locks and safes.
